Severe storms and possible tornados are expected to span from the Northeast down to the Gulf Coast starting today. More severe storms expect to hit the MidSouth starting Wednesday, which will affect Memphis, Indy, and multiple other surrounding states into the weekend.
If you absolute have to ship, today would be the only day to do so, and only if you are not shipping into or out of the affected areas.
Live arrival insurance will be turned off this week.
FedEx is in the process of combining their Express and Ground facilities into one, similar to how UPS runs. FedEx Overnight packages are not affected, but until the transition is complete, some 2 Day packages are being treated as Ground. This means it could take up to 7 days for your package to be delivered. We don't know which locations are operating this way, so please do not use 2 Day (unless it is dry goods), until we are able to get more information/FedEx fully transitions to this new system. We will make that announcement here as soon as we are informed.
